LIFE OF 'MARKHOR';

The Markhor is the National Animal of Pakistan, is a large species of wild goat that is found in northeastern Afghanistan, Pakistan.
It is also located Kashmir in northern India, southern Tajikistan, southern Uzbekistan and in the Himalayas.
The Persian word mar, meaning 'snake' and khor meaning eater, ability to kill snakes mostly this types animals lived in mountain, people like their Animal hunting.
The species was classed by IUCN as endangered until 2015 when it was uprated to "near threatened", as their number have increased in recent years by an estimated 20% for the last decade.
Markhor are adapted to mountainous terrain, and can be found between 600 and 3600 meters in elevation.
They typical inhabit scrub forests made up primarily of oaks.
Their diets shift seasonally:
                                           in the spring and summer periods they graze, but turn to browsing n winter, sometimes standing on their hind legs to reach high branches.
The mating season takes place in winter, during which the males fight each other by lunging, locking horns and attempting to push each other off balance.
Markhor live in flocks, usually numbering nine animals, composed of adult females and their young.
The Markhor stand 65 to 115 centimeters (26 to 45in) at the shoulder, 132 to 186 centimeters (52 to 73in) in length and weight from 32 to 110 kilograms (71 to 243 LB).
The coat is a grizzled, light brown to black color, and is smooth and short  in summer, while growing longer and thicker in winter.
The fur of the lower legs is black and white.
The horns of males can grow up to 160cm (63in) longs, and up to 25cm (10in) in females.
The males have a pungent smell, which surpasses that of the domestic goat....
